About The Seed
The Mustard Seed is a Christian non-profit organization that has been caring for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty since 1984. Operating in five cities across Alberta and British Columbia, The Mustard Seed is a supportive haven where people can have their physical, mental, and spiritual needs met and grow toward greater health and independence. We have been an agent of change for more than three decades, thanks to our donors, volunteers, and support from the community.
Join us for our last hurrah!
For the past 16 years The Mustard Seed has held its annual Stampede Round-Up, a family-friendly block party that takes place on Centre Street South between 10th Ave and 11th Ave immediately following the Stampede Parade.
As a gesture of thanks for the support we receive from the community year-round, Calgarians are invited to come out to this free event and enjoy a delicious lunch, live music, dancing, sponsor activations, and family-fun activities. This event serves meals to upwards of 2,000 people each year, and thousands more pass through to enjoy the festivities as they make their way from the parade to the Stampede Grounds.
In our FINAL YEAR of celebrating the Stampede Round-Up at this location, we’re committed to making this an unforgettable event with grander activations, captivating entertainment, and fun-filled activities for attendees of all ages!
This year’s celebration will feature the following exciting activations
- Live music
- Indigenous dancers
- Line Dancers
- Men on Stilts
- Carnival games
- Face painting
- Balloon animals
- Petting zoo
- Photo booth
- Harvey the Hound
- Food trucks

Based on the last name of two ‘born and raised’ Albertan brothers, Flaysher is a high-octane country duo from Airdrie. Their latest single Good For You amassed over 150,000 streams in just the first two months. Flaysher recently won first place in the Ranchman's Rising Star contest and will be performing on the main stage of Country Thunder in August 2023. With their signature Country-Rock sound, Flaysher is boldly driving forward into a promising 2023.
These true blue-collar boys are known for their high-energy live performances. They’ve performed at Country Thunder and the Calgary Stampede, headlined the Alberta Summer Games to an audience of over 6,000 people and sold out the King Eddy (Calgary, AB) multiple times. Every time they hit the stage you can’t help but feel the passion these two brothers have for performing and lifting people up.
