As the temperature began to drop in Edmonton, Chad and his team at Concrete Blonde Hair Body Salon wanted to make a difference for the people experiencing poverty and homelessness. The group decided the best way they could help was by hosting a winter jacket drive for The Mustard Seed community.
Giving back to the community is a core value not just for Chad, but also for his wife and all his employees at the salon.
“My wife, Elena, and I are passionate about helping make a difference; whenever we can help others with our business, we will. We chose The Mustard Seed because of their committed involvement in the community, and because they are truly passionate about making a difference where it is most needed.”
Chad and his team collected approximately 200 coats through the ‘Cuts for Charity’ event which offered free haircuts to any patron who brought in a gently-used winter coat.
With the success of the fundraiser, Chad says that Concrete Blonde Hair Body Salon will be making Cuts for Charity an annual event.
“I am really excited to see this event grow,” says Chad.
