The Mustard Seed has been selected by the Calgary Motor Dealer Association as one of the charitable recipients for the 2017 Vehicles and Violins Gala.
Since 2000, the CMDA has been helping local non-profit organizations through the gala, raising over $3.7 million in support of their work. For 2017, in addition to The Mustard Seed, CDMA has also chosen the Prostate Cancer Centre as a recipient.
“Now, more than ever it is important to get solidly behind the efforts of local charity groups,” says Jim Gillespie, CMDA’s Executive Director. “The Mustard Seed and Prostate Cancer Centre are each outstanding organizations providing valuable services to our community. We are proud to have them as the beneficiaries of our Gala.”
To mark the announcement, The Prostate Cancer Centre’s Man Van came to The Mustard Seed to provide free checks for the people we serve. It was also an opportunity to build on our increased commitment to making health and wellness option more easily accessible to the people we serve. 20 people received health checks at the new Wellness Centre, while 18 people were tested in the Man Van.
The Mustard Seed is extremely grateful to the Calgary Motor Dealer Association for its support.
