Deb has been a familiar face and a source of inspiration and hope for many community participants who have now become life long friends at The Mustard Seed Mosaic Centre. She has facilitated drop-in art classes with a focus on cultural and inclusive sensitivity for over four years and taught on average, nine participants in her class which was held once a week on Tuesdays.
“I am going to miss her! It’s sad there won’t be crafts here on Tuesdays anymore,” said a community participant. “It was nice to know her and learn from her; I was able to forget my worries and stress.”
With her fine arts and teaching degree, Deb will continue her work at the Jasper Place Wellness Centre.
“I’ll miss working with my family here at the Mosaic Centre.” said Deb. “I’ll miss giving hugs and engaging with everyone here."
We wish Deb all the best in her future endeavours! Find out how you can get involved or hear more about our Mosaic Centre here.
