SeedSchool helps students understand homelessness and poverty through
curriculum-based experience, designed to meet the needs of each individual
learner. Students are taught to see beyond someone's circumstances and
learn more about issues in their community.

Children are naturally curious about the world and the people around them. They are eager to learn, but misconceptions, especially about homelessness and poverty, can form early on.
We started SeedSchool in 2017 to give them the opportunity to freely ask questions, challenge assumptions, and hear from people who have been through hardship themselves.
Through hands-on learning and a tailored, age-appropriate approach, students learn important lessons that stay with them long after they leave the SeedSchool classroom. They're also encouraged to raise awareness in their communities after the program ends.
Many students never get the chance to explore these topics openly and honestly. Your gift will help make sure even more kids in Calgary can.
