WAYS TO GIVE
Everyone has a different ability to give, but what we all have in common is the ability to make a difference. Below are some of the ways your passion and generosity can support this project:

THE CELEBRATION
As we revel in the return of in-person celebrations, we are pleased to celebrate your life-changing contribution to the Ogden Hub:29 project with an evening at the King Eddy. Established in 1905, the King Edward Hotel was Calgary’s second oldest hotel and the longest operating bar and hotel when it closed in 2004. Today the Eddy continues to be a cornerstone of music, community, and culture, building on its storied musical legacy.
Join us for show-stopping performances by UPTOWN, mouth-watering canapes, handcrafted specialty cocktails,
and an opportunity to connect with The Mustard Seed’s Executive and Program Teams, as well as Calgary’s
philanthropists, business, and community leaders.
Hosted by Joelle

The Mustard Seed Red Deer
The Mustard Seed Red Deer meets the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness and poverty by
providing our
community with a variety of programs and services, offered in safe and supportive spaces.
School Lunch Program
This program aims to assist families and schools with food security. The quality of food is essential and an
important ingredient that contributes to the children’s success and development. It’s important that the
students
have the ability to learn instead of focusing on the hunger that they are experiencing. Each day, around 425
students at 48 schools in Central Alberta receive healthy and nutritious lunches.
Wellness Centre
The barriers preventing people from transitioning out of poverty and homelessness are as unique as the
individuals
facing them. Our wellness advocate breaks down these barriers by meeting with clients to determine which
programs
and services best meet their needs. These health and wellness services include counselling, medical doctor
and
nurses, assistance with obtaining ID, employment, income support, and housing, community resources, drop-in
programming, and much more.
Dinner Program
The dinner program not only provides hot meals three nights per week, but an opportunity for those living in
homelessness and poverty to build a sense of community with our staff and other guests. Each Monday,
Wednesday, and
Friday meals are served in-person, following all physical distancing and COVID-19 guidelines, along with
offering
take-away meals.
Drop-In Program
There are a variety of drop-in programs and services such as haircuts, coffee and snacks, movie nights,
prayer
meetings, Bible studies, and many more. All programming follows proper physical distancing and COVID-19
guidelines.
The Celebration
Join us for an evening featuring live entertainment, exceptional fare courtesy of Bo’s Bar & Grill, and an opportunity to network with Red Deer and surrounding area philanthropists, business executives, and community leaders.
Net proceeds from this year’s Celebration will benefit The Mustard Seed Red Deer’s various food and meal programs that support Central Albertans experiencing food insecurity.
