About The Seed

The Mustard Seed is a Christian non-profit organization that has been caring for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty since 1984. Operating in five cities across Alberta and British Columbia, The Mustard Seed is a supportive haven where people can have their physical, mental, and spiritual needs met and grow toward greater health and independence. We have been an agent of change for more than three decades, thanks to our donors, volunteers, and support from the community.

Joelle Tomlinson is an accomplished journalist who has made her impact through passion, professionalism, and captivating storytelling. Born and raised in Saskatoon, Joelle found her calling for journalism early on and pursued her passion for journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University. In her career, she has shown her impact as an anchor and producer of CTV Morning Live in Calgary from 2017 to 2023, where her storytelling resonated with viewers across Western Canada. Beyond her professional achievements, Joelle has made an impact through her warm and approachable demeanor, fostering genuine connections and true interest in people and their stories. She has been actively involved in community initiatives, highlighting mental health and addiction initiatives. Joelle’s commitment to journalistic excellence and passion for storytelling make her a standout figure in her field.
