The Mustard Seed thanks YYC with Stampede BBQ

It was all about gratitude at The Mustard Seed’s annual Stampede BBQ on Parade Day, July 8, and we were happy to see our amazing community gather together.

As many as 2,900 people attended the BBQ for a fun-filled time with good food and lots of activities. There was face painting, line dancing, a petting zoo, a photo booth and a magic show – even Mayor Nenshi stopped by and joined in on the fun!

It was our way of saying thank you to Calgary for helping us make a difference in the community and in the lives of thousands of men and women over a span of nearly 32 years. Without the support of donors and volunteers like you, we couldn’t do what we do to build community, grow hope and support change.

“We are so grateful to Albertans who continue to set the standards for generosity and compassion,” says CEO Stephen Wile.

Many staff, volunteers and compassionate

Calgarians worked hard to make the BBQ a success. We would like to say a special thank you to Darryl Delamont from Yellow Couch photography for manning the photo booth, Blueswak for the fantastic music, JCI Calgary for providing volunteers to serve the food, Braden and Brenda for the magic and balloons, Butterfield Acres for the petting zoo, Country Spirit Dance Society for the line-dancing and everyone who worked behind the scenes.

We had a great time, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
